POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in the month-end close process, developing subject matter expertise in multiple financial statement line items.  The Senior Accountant will also have opportunities to contribute to special projects (including identifying, recommending and implementing process improvements) across key financial areas.  If you have an eye for detail and consistently seek the most efficient way to get things done, we encourage you to apply!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with monthly accounting close, including journal entries and reconciliations, in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Partner with Corporate & Field management to ensure accurate and complete business unit financial statements. Generate and review operating statements, analyze financial results and research variance drivers
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations of selected assets and liabilities for accuracy
  • Assist with preparation of audit schedules
  • Contribute to compliance with internal controls and policies
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis at the request of the Manager
  • Assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management
  • High attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with a good business judgment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • A 4-year bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
  • Thorough understanding of accounting processes and their influence on business decisions
  • Intermediate expertise in Excel; comfortable learning new technologies

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • CPA designation
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX and BlackLine experience

SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES DESIRED:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high-volume data sets
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
